Struck by lightning at three years old and bearing witness to the death of his father during the same incident, Hunter Benson emerged from personal darkness and despair to find light and solace in the depths of his own lyrics and sounds. Music became his saving grace. Early influences from the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alice In Chains and Mark Lanegan helped create the foundation that would shape Hunter’s unique sound into a brooding mixture of Country, Southern and Grunge Rock. Championing his own life experiences, Hunter brings to light his forthcoming EP “Seeking”, reliving, highlighting and sharing his remarkable personal journey. With the release of his debut single, “Come and Gone,” Hunter brings guitar centered rock ’n roll back to the forefront of the music scene with an Americana feel and down and dirty gusto that is both thought-provoking and mystically fulfilling—melding a hard rock with soulful slide guitar and Hammond B3 under lyrics steeped in his life lessons. “Come and Gone” will be featured in the upcoming motion picture, PELLETT, due out in 2025
